Rewind Bench is a one-person project by Tito G. Here’s what this site collects while it’s in pre-production, and what happens to it.
What I collect
- Your survey answers. They’re saved with the date and how long the survey took. They also keep the tag from the link you used, like ?src=reddit, so I can see where answers come from. They aren’t tied to your name.
- Your email, only if you give it. You can leave it at the end of the survey or in the early access form.
- A note in your own browser. The survey holds your answers in your browser until you send them, so a refresh doesn’t lose them. Afterward it remembers that you finished, so it won’t ask again. This stays on your device and isn’t a tracking cookie.
What I don’t collect
There are no ads or tracking cookies, and the site doesn’t load scripts from anyone else, so no one else can track what you do here.
The site is hosted by Netlify, which also stores the answers and emails. Like any web host, Netlify handles basic technical details such as IP addresses to deliver pages and keep the site secure.
How I use it
Survey answers help me decide what to build first. I’ll only use your email to tell you about Rewind Bench, like when there’s something to try. I won’t sell it or share it with anyone. When I send email, it goes through an email delivery service that only uses your address to deliver the message.
How long I keep it
Your email stays on the list until you ask me to remove it. Survey answers are kept while I plan and build Rewind Bench.
Your choices
Email hello@rewindbench.com and I’ll take your email off the list. You can also ask what I have on file. If you left your email in the survey, I can delete your answers too. If you live in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Under 18
The survey doesn’t ask for an email if you’re under 18, and the early access list is only for adults.
Changes
If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
